Once you know the choices you have, stress can be manageable. Stress becomes something to be coped with and understood, instead of feared and denied.
Stress is something that can be combated.
What makes this information different from other stress relief resources?
Good question.
Let me introduce myself... my name is Piers Cross and I am the Director of Stress Relief Choices.
My background is that I have worked in some very stressful environments over the past 20 years: from being in sales in the City in London, to dealing with stadium disasters in Africa, from being a nanny to working for McDonalds...
But I got to a point where I had had enough. I wanted out and I wanted a break so I spent 3 years in a Buddhist monastery learning stress relief techniques like meditation, yoga and tai chi.
The difference is amazing.
I really feel able to cope with difficult situations without getting stressed. And colleagues comment how relaxed and calm I am in stressful situations.
I now use these techniques in my everyday life: from work to play. And they are choices. I choose to use these tools. You can choose too.
I use meditation, walking, exercise, visualisations and yoga on a daily basis.
What is in this website?
In this website I go through each stress management technique that I learned in the monastery and in my working life.
I give examples of how these techniques helped me
I give explanations on how to practice these techniques at home or in the office.
By reading, practicing and being patient you too will learn the wonderful stress management techniques that I have learned.
The techniques that manage the stress in my life will do the same for you.
The process is reasonably simple but requires time and patience.
But the most important thing? That we start. As the Tao Te Ching quotes, The journey of a 1000 miles starts with a single step.
