I want to share with you today a stress management technique that I have been implementing for some time now with my clients and in my own life.

The effect it has had on my life has been very powerful - to be honest life changing.

In the past I found that I would use my mind to try to think myself out of a problem. And in the end I would worry a lot and rather than the situation being resolved it would just get worse.

Have you ever done that?

Have you ever had an argument with someone, or fallen out over something and then re-run the argument in your head... "If only I'd said that! If only I'd replied with that!"

And then we create the scenario in our heads where we meet up with the person in question again and we really let them have it. Have you ever done that? I know that I have.

But the underlying feeling when we are doing this is really negative - we feel bad because we are rerunning the argument in our heads over and over again. I know people who can't sleep because of this.

Now this is how I used to be.

But what is the solution to this?

Step One: Get Clear In Your Mind

The first thing is to get a really clear picture in your mind of how you wanted or how you want the scenario to go.

The important thing is that this has to make you feel good. If you are thinking and imaging a scenario where there is discomfort or suffering then this won't work.

Say for example, you've had an argument, imagine both parties happy - both have got what they wanted, both sides - you and the other are happy and content.

Picture how you will look and how the other person will look.

Step Two: Feel Good

Once you have a clear picture of what you want to have happen you must then really feel it deeply inside. And this feeling must really lift you. You must feel lifted and inspired.

If you are feeling heavy and angry still - change the pictures so that everything is sorted out, everything is fine.

Step Three: Practice

Whenever the lower self, the chattering mind comes back in and starts to sabotage this image and feeling - keep lifting yourself to feeling and knowing that you have succeeded - that all is well.

Feel grateful deep within now that this situation is totally resolved and totally well.

This technique can be used in all areas of your life and it is so powerful.

If you find that you are worrying about something - this is the energy and feeling you take into that situation. Therefore the other person or people feel that you are ill-at-ease and react to you from that same space - with fear, anger, worry.

Practice this is as much as possible and you will see just how easy it is to manifest how you want your life to be.

And then it will become so...
